Creative Market is a platform for handcrafted, mousemade design content from independent creatives around the world. During my time there, I served as the Senior Marketing Designer.

As Creative Market grew, we did not want to lose sight of who it was we were serving within the marketplace — Our community members and our shop owners. As part of the campaign, we interviewed six people within a two day period. Below is the highlight video, some behind the scenes photos, and a marketing page created for the campaign.

Before I officially worked with Creative Market, I sent Gerren Lamson an email mentioning that I felt our sign up modal system could be improved. Previously, it was difficult to know if you were creating an account vs. signing in. As it would happen, this became one of the first projects I worked on during my time there. By creating a series of designs and related A/B tests alongside our Growth team, we were able to increase signups by 17% by redesigning the welcome experience.

"Zach worked with the Creative Market team for over a year as a contractor, and produced a variety of creative and design projects for the brand across marketing, product, and community initiatives.
Zach has a ton of passion that he brings to the table. He cares deeply about the team and community of users that he produces work for. While at CM, he gave holistic, constructive feedback on team projects, company objectives and brand culture. Zach imparted a double-dose of user empathy and perspective into every project conversation and meeting that he participated in, and was very easy to work with. He helped our team stay focused on the member’s experience of Creative Market, and gave thoughtful feedback about how various projects and choices impact the user’s experience and perception of the Creative Market brand.
Zach’s projects had a focus on the marketing and community sides of the company, and his skills and strengths played into these projects naturally. Zach helped Creative Market produce video work in-house for the first time, and steered those projects to have a great look and feel that represented our brand and community. Zach optimized and organized the visual system components for our monthly bundle and seasonal promotional systems, which made the design team’s work more effective for these high-return channels. Zach worked on product design projects such as the redesign of our blog, a landing page for our community videos, and various a/b tests focused on conversion.
Overall, Zach covered many of our bases, and had a willingness to jump in and help on whatever was needed by the team for the betterment of the company."
